Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reassured the public of his good health after disclosing details about his recent battle with cancer. Netanyahu shared that he had been diagnosed with a malignant tumor following a successful surgery for an enlarged benign prostate but assured that the tumor had been completely removed.
Speaking on the matter, the 76-year-old leader mentioned that medical professionals identified the early-stage tumor during a routine check-up but delayed the report’s publication. Netanyahu explained that he had requested to withhold the release of his health information due to concerns about potential misinformation spread by Iran, with whom Israel cooperated in a recent joint military action against Tehran.
Netanyahu disclosed that he underwent surgery for a benign prostate condition approximately 18 months ago and had been closely monitored since. During a recent assessment, a small tumor less than a centimeter in size was discovered, which was promptly addressed. Expressing gratitude that the issue was resolved, Netanyahu emphasized the importance of timely intervention when faced with potential health risks.
The Prime Minister’s revelation coincides with his upcoming visit to the White House, where discussions are expected to focus on negotiating terms for a peace agreement with Iran. Additionally, Israel has recently extended a ceasefire agreement with Lebanon for three more weeks.
