“Influencer Charged with Attempted Murder After Nightclub Confrontation”

Published:

A social media influencer who was a finalist on the X Factor has been brought before court on charges of allegedly trying to kill another online content creator after a confrontation outside a nightclub. Gabrielle Carrington, 29, was detained following accusations that her vehicle was involved in an incident with three pedestrians, including Klaudia Zakrzewska, known as ‘Klaudiaglam’ on Instagram, outside a venue in London’s Soho early on a Sunday morning.

Authorities have charged Carrington with attempted murder, causing severe bodily harm with intent, physical harm, reckless driving, and driving under the influence of alcohol. The incident led to Ms. Zakrzewska being in critical condition in the hospital, with another individual sustaining serious injuries and a third person receiving minor harm.

The alleged attempted murder is linked to the attack on Ms. Zakrzewska, while the charge of causing severe bodily harm pertains to the injuries suffered by the other individual, and the charge of physical harm is related to the injuries sustained by the third person.

Carrington made her court appearance at Westminster Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody. While in court, she only provided her personal details and did not enter any pleas. Family members and friends of both Carrington and the victim were present in the courtroom during the hearing.

The prosecution informed the court that emergency services were called to the scene where the incident occurred. It was revealed that Carrington was above the legal alcohol limit at the time of her arrest.

District Judge Nina Tempia ordered Carrington to remain in custody until the next hearing, where she will be expected to enter a plea. Carrington will face further legal proceedings at the Old Bailey in May.

Carrington, originally from Manchester, gained recognition after her participation in The X Factor and has since amassed a substantial following on Instagram. Police have urged any witnesses to provide information that could assist in the investigation.

The police have clarified that the incident is not linked to terrorism. They have requested that individuals refrain from sharing graphic footage of the incident out of respect for the victims and to avoid prejudicing the legal process.
