After June, a dedicated Reform supporter from Wigan, was announced as the winner, some of her neighbors on the same road are claiming they have not received any benefits yet. Concerns arose when social media users noticed a photo of Mr. Farage standing behind the winning couple at a Brexit event in 2019, leading to speculations that he might have known the winners in advance. Additionally, a post on a local Reform UK page described the winners as loyal party members.
Residents of St Malo Road in Wigan are now expressing discontent, stating they feel excluded from the prize distribution despite the initial promise that every household would be informed on how to claim their prize. Some residents, like Angie Ecclestone and Matt Johnson, have voiced their disappointment at not receiving any communication regarding their winnings.
One resident, Fraser Hayes, even mentioned that if he were to receive the prize, he would donate it to charity instead of keeping it due to his lack of support for the Reform party. The situation has escalated into a potential public relations crisis, with residents seeking clarity on whether the Reform Party will uphold its commitment.
The Reform UK spokesperson clarified that letters were physically delivered to some households on the designated day but could not reach all addresses immediately. The remaining households can expect to receive their letters soon, reaffirming the party’s intention to fulfill its promise of covering the entire road’s energy bills.

Mr. Farage remains unfazed by accusations of electoral rule violations, stating he is not concerned.
