Apple Music, now accessible on both iOS and Android devices, experienced its most successful year in 2025, setting new records for listenership and new subscribers. The service introduced enhancements such as Lyrics Translation and AutoMix, offering a personalized DJ experience on-the-go.
In addition to the music sector, Apple TV witnessed a substantial increase in engagement, with users spending 36% more time enjoying series like Slow Horses and The Studio compared to the previous year. The platform expanded its content library with additions like the F1 movie featuring Brad Pitt and the acclaimed drama Pluribus.
The App Store also saw robust activity, boasting over 850 million average weekly users worldwide. During the holiday season from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day, the store experienced a surge in visitors, leading to record-breaking customer spending on digital goods and services.
Apple Podcasts also thrived, achieving record numbers in listeners, plays, and subscribers. Updates across Apple’s services included the expansion of Apple Fitness+ to more regions and the introduction of over 50 new games on Apple Arcade.
Moreover, Apple enhanced its Share Item Location feature in Find My by partnering with 27 additional airlines, totaling 36, to facilitate secure sharing of location data for AirTag and Find My network accessories, significantly reducing lost luggage incidents.
Apple Maps expanded its Detailed City Experience to include destinations like New Orleans, Singapore, and Monaco, offering 3D landmarks and exclusive experiences such as a custom F1 Monaco Grand Prix feature.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services, summed up the year by highlighting the company’s commitment to global expansion, innovation, and delivering enriching experiences through services like Apple TV, Apple Music, and Apple News.
