“Anthony Joshua Returns Home After Tragic Accident”

Published:

Anthony Joshua has returned to England following a tragic car accident that claimed the lives of two individuals. The British heavyweight boxer arrived at London Stansted Airport on Friday night and was then taken to his residence for further recovery, according to reports.

The funerals of his friends, Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, are scheduled to take place at a mosque in London. Close relatives and friends have been invited to a ‘janaza prayer service’ to honor the departed.

There is uncertainty surrounding Joshua’s attendance at the funeral, with concerns that his presence could create unwanted attention. Reports indicate that Joshua narrowly escaped the accident by switching seats just before the fatal journey that resulted in the loss of his friends’ lives.

The driver of the vehicle, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. Kayode’s lawyer stated that the incident was an accident and that his client denies the charges, attributing the crash to brake failure.

The fatal crash occurred when Kayode’s vehicle collided with a stationary truck on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway. After being discharged from the hospital, Kayode was transferred to Abeokuta for further legal proceedings, with a trial date set for January 20.

Following his release from the hospital, Joshua paid his respects to Ghami and Ayodele at a funeral home in Lagos before their bodies were repatriated to the United Kingdom. He was accompanied by his mother during this somber visit.
