Revolut, a prominent finance and tech company, has recently launched its new mobile service in the UK, known as Revolut Mobile. Early adopters stand to benefit from attractive incentives as they switch to this service, potentially leading to significant monthly savings. Remarkably, for just £12.50 per month, users can enjoy unlimited 5G data, calls, and texts, setting a competitive pricing standard that beats out many existing unlimited plans offered by major UK networks like EE and Vodafone, which charge £25 monthly for a similar package.
What makes the Revolut deal even more enticing is the inclusion of a substantial 20GB roaming allowance across the EU and the United States at no extra charge. This feature is particularly advantageous for frequent travelers, enabling seamless connectivity in popular cities such as Paris, Berlin, New York, and Los Angeles without incurring additional fees – a benefit that many UK networks still impose, especially for US travel.
Moreover, Revolut Mobile provides a Messaging Pass for global messaging in over 80 countries, allowing customers to access low-bandwidth data for messaging on platforms like WhatsApp. Additionally, subscribers can conveniently add up to three phone numbers to a single plan, facilitating the management of work, personal, and travel lines. As an added bonus, each subscription includes a complimentary membership to NordVPN for secure and private browsing.
The service is currently being gradually introduced to individuals on the waitlist, with full public availability expected by January 2026. Despite the ambitious nature of this move by Revolut, industry experts caution that success is not guaranteed. Paolo Pescatore, an analyst, highlighted the importance of strong execution in combining banking services with mobile connectivity, emphasizing the need for careful consideration given the highly competitive and dynamic MVNO market.
Nevertheless, Revolut remains confident in its ability to compete with established networks like EE, Vodafone, and O2. Hadi Nasrallah, Revolut’s General Manager of Telco, expressed the company’s commitment to offering a truly distinct alternative in the market.
“Revolut Mobile is not just another mobile service – it represents a genuinely disruptive offering in the industry,” Nasrallah stated. “Our goal is to provide unparalleled service at a competitive price, supported by an exceptional user experience. We are introducing true innovation through features such as multiple numbers and global messaging, while eliminating hidden fees and unnecessary complexities.”
