Published:

Prince Harry made an unexpected trip to Ukraine, commending the nation for its courageous defense against Russia. Arriving in Kyiv by train after a deadly drone strike in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, the prince was welcomed by Ramina Arseniy Yatsenyuk, the executive director of the Open Ukraine Foundation. At the Kyiv Security Forum, he is anticipated to address global leaders, portraying Ukraine as the forefront of democracy and criticizing Putin and Russia for war crimes. Harry emphasized the importance of acknowledging Ukraine’s resilience in the face of ongoing attacks, highlighting the significance of the country’s struggle.

During the past week, Russia launched over a thousand missiles and drones at Ukraine, leading to severe disruptions in the capital’s infrastructure. Prince Harry, on his third visit to Ukraine since the invasion began, expressed his support for the country’s efforts and the extraordinary work being done in challenging circumstances. He also plans to meet with participants of the Invictus Games, a platform for wounded veterans to recover through sports. Harry’s visit to Ukraine follows a recent trip to Australia with his wife Meghan, where he engaged in various activities.

Notably, other members of the Royal Family, like Prince William, have also shown support for Ukraine by acknowledging its resilience and demonstrating solidarity against potential threats. Prince Harry’s presence in Ukraine signifies his commitment to raising awareness about the challenges faced by the country and standing in solidarity with its people and partners in their fight for freedom and security.
