Freeview households have received an exciting upgrade to their entertainment lineup with the recent launch of a new channel that was previously exclusive to premium TV services like Sky and Virgin Media. TLC, known for popular reality shows such as Dr Pimple Popper and Say Yes To The Dress, has expanded its offerings to include a variety of sitcoms and blockbuster movies.
With this update, Freeview users now have access to hit shows like The Big Bang Theory, Mock the Week, and Young Sheldon, along with blockbuster movies like Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Freeview has made TLC available on channel 12, although some viewers may need to retune their TVs to access it.
In addition to TLC, the channel reshuffle will see Quest moving from Ch12 to Ch17, making space for TLC, and Really shifting from Ch17 to Ch44. However, not all changes are positive as Freeview has announced the closure of HGTV, leading to the removal of popular programs like My Lottery Dream Home, Celebrity IOU, and Building Alaska from the platform. Other channels shutting down include HGTV, God TV, and India Today.
The new channel lineup includes TLC on Ch12 and TLC+1 on Ch99. Quest will now be found on Ch17, while Really moves to Ch44. Channels that are closing down include HGTV, God TV, and India Today.
