Trump.” Additionally, they proposed renaming the front plaza after Trump and planning a two-year closure to facilitate significant renovations.
These actions, as outlined by Representative Joyce Beatty, a Democrat from Ohio and an ex-officio board member, directly challenge U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper’s previous ruling. Cooper had deemed the unauthorized addition of Trump’s name on the building as illegal, ordering its removal, a decision upheld despite the administration’s attempts to reverse it. Moreover, Cooper halted the planned two-year closure, criticizing the board’s seemingly predetermined decision-making process.
