“Heated Rivalry” Actor Teases Twelve New Episodes

Published:

Actor Dylan Walsh from “Heated Rivalry” hinted at the possibility of shooting twelve new episodes for the popular hockey romance series, sparking excitement among fans for potential future seasons.

Walsh, a 62-year-old American actor known for his role as Shane Hollander’s father in the show, mentioned the potential new episodes in a video shared on the Cameo platform. The video was reposted by TikTok user Savannah Leigh, who received it as a birthday gift.

Expressing his love for the series, Walsh mentioned his pride in being part of “Heated Rivalry” and hinted at filming additional episodes in Canada. However, following the video’s release, Walsh issued an apology and temporarily paused his Cameo account, clarifying that he did not have official information on the production schedule.

While Walsh’s comments fueled speculation about the series’ future, creator and director Jacob Tierney has not yet responded to inquiries regarding the actor’s statements. The show has garnered significant attention, with recent controversies surrounding casting choices and fan reactions.

The first season of “Heated Rivalry” consisted of six episodes, and Tierney previously stated his preference for tighter storytelling over longer seasons. Based on Rachel Reid’s Game Changers series, the show revolves around the romantic relationship between hockey players Shane Hollander and Iyla Rozanov.

Amidst the buzz, filming for the second season is underway in Toronto and Montreal, as reported by industry sources. Additionally, Crave Canada recently announced five new cast members for the upcoming season, further adding to the anticipation surrounding the popular series.
